The Pickett community lies southwest of the urban Fox Valley, which is currently a strong area of growth in both population and economic development. All age groups are served by the center but the two predominate population groups served are pre-school and senior citizens. The Pickett Senior Center provides a broad range of group and individual activities and services which include: health services, information, meal and transportation services. Which is where volunteer opportunities are always welcomed and appreciated.
Gordy is a longtime volunteer of the center by mowing the lawn and delivered meals .
Wanda Kettlewell is also a longtime volunteer and is on the Jasper Pickett Foundation Board. She is there to help with Country Breakfast raffle and weekly card game set up.
They are always there when needed along with many other volunteers of the community.
